Dr. Mohamed Hassan Elramly MRCOG. MD
Workshop objectives:
This workshop is an introduction to Gynecological oncology. It provides good grounding knowledge of the prevention, screening and early detection of uterine and cervical cancers.
It’s well known and evidence based that early screening for certain tumors is highly recommended while other tumors (Ovarian and vulval cancers) are debatable. We are concerned about Pre-malignant lesions detection and management which are considered the golden key to prevent possible malignancies.
The workshop program covers a comprehensive range of topics essential to the field of gynecologic oncology. Sessions include discussions on ovarian cancer screening and overview, surgical management tips and tricks for uterine cancer, screening and prevention strategies for cervical cancer, and pre-malignant lesions and new treatment approaches for vulval cancer. Attendees will also gain insights into the basics of chemotherapy and radiotherapy in gynecologic oncology. The program offers practical demonstrations of liquid-based cytology, endometrial sampling, and colposcopy, including components, indications, and pitfalls. An open discussion of difficult cases will further enhance participants' understanding and practical skills in managing challenging scenarios.
